The lovely artist Helen Thomas came in with this beautifully delicate group of paintings which needed framing. Helen looks very carefully at the world around her and sees little, amazing, happenings that most of us never even notice or appreciate. She find beauty and art in the most unexpected places, and these very pretty paintings capture a fleeting moment in time, where nature has planted tiny roots in a harsh urban landscape and managed to create beautiful new life, and a
A lovely lady came in with this stunning print by the very talented landscape artist Ian Mitchell. It was a gift for her daughter who lives in Hull and she wanted a wide, warm grey and black mount combination and a simple black wooden frame. Coloured mounts can sometimes distract the eye away from the artwork, but this combination looks stunning with Ian's powerful artwork.

The artist, Sam Swales Snowden came in with this beautiful watercolour painting that she wanted framing. Sam chose this very simple, silver and grey textured frame and a soft white and grey double mount combination, to create a soft tonal combination that comes together perfectly as a complete piece of art. We bought this beautiful, handmade 'Flora & Fauna' tile from Lisa at Ellul Ceramics, whilst visiting the Saltaire Inspired art festival last May. Lisa presses plants into the clay to make her tiles look like fossils and on some pieces she adds delicate touches of 24 carat gold leaf. We love Lisa's ceramic tiles and though this one would make a stunning piece for our showroom. We wanted to create a rich, decadent, almost iconic style frame for this little gem of an artwork and
We bought this pretty little 'Winter Whippet' print by Angela Harding and wanted to frame it for our showroom, so we can show customers lots of different framing styles and ideas. We chose this wide black gloss moulding and used black and soft grey picture mounts, and added a double 'V' groove to add a little extra detail. We love the image of this leaping whippet that just seems to fly through this cool winter landscape and this strong black gloss frame adds a touch of #ArtD
A customer wanted this set of commemorative WW1 stamps framing. He wanted a slim black frame and we had a look at a few mount combinations and he chose a very smart deep khaki with a flash of deep rich red, which complements the red of the Queen's head, that is consistent across all the stamps and also the reds of the poppies. A very smart piece of framing which really suits this WW1 theme.

A lovely lady came in with a children's story book and explained that she used to read the book with her Mum when she was little. Sadly her Mum passed away but she found the book and decided that she would like to have it framed. An open book was something new for us, but we thought it was a great idea and we would like to help, so she chose her favorite story and we displayed the book showing these pages. Finding the right frame was an interesting challenge, as the customer
