Inspiring happy memories of lazy summer days

June 11, 2018

Just finished framing these lovely summer landscapes, painted by Ann Parkin. They were inspired by peaceful aspects around the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on a sunny day 'en plein air' with the Tom Wood Workshops.
There is something about these paintings which takes me straight back to warm summer days spent playing out as a child, with blue skies, tickling grasses on legs and warm dappled sunlight - Happy care free days.
Ann's atmospheric paintings will be on sale in the Market Hall at Holmfirth Art Week, which runs from Sun 1st July to Sat 7th July 2018.
Holmfirth Art Week is a great event and it is definitely worth visiting this famous Yorkshire town, which will have many art exhibitions spread all over the Holmfirth area. As well as Ann's lovely summer paintings, there will many more paintings, artworks and sculptures available to buy.
