1918 - 2018

Jenny from the Creative Craft Centre, Dewsbury came in with this stunning cross stitch that they wanted framing for their latest window display, that commemorates one hundred years since the end of the first world war. We used a very smart, distressed gun metal moulding (which seems to fit the subject perfectly) and a beautiful combination of cream & brown mounts, with a flash of rich, deep red to complement the poppies, and although we say it ourselves, it looks very smart and really beautiful. The staff and many of their friends, family and customers have been seriously busy, creating knitted poppies and cute little soldiers for the new window display and we would ask people to go along to the Creative Craft Centre, have a look at their window display and pop in to buy some of these lovely poppies - in aid of the Royal British Legion poppy appeal and to remember the fallen.
